Winter Garden Grand Staircase
Residents are banding together to stop the demolition of the The Grand Staircase in the Winter Garden portion of the World Financial Center, New York,
The staircase was rebuilt after 9/11. Not only has The Grand Staircase become a community gathering place, but it is an essential part of the Manhattan downtown experience.
But this is an uphill battle and it may be lost. If it is demolished the staircase will disappear into the mists of memory. This video shows present Grand Staircase and perhaps will preserve it's grandeur if the worse comes to pass.
